Difficulty of our cycling routes

AWOL’s cycling routes vary in terms of difficulty. The level of difficulty is determined by a combination of several factors, distance, road quality, traffic intensity, the height differences and the number of slopes.
The difficulty of the cycling route is set out with symbols.

almost flat area, at most “false flat”

light to mid-hilly area, short slopes

mid-hilly area, slopes and sometimes a climb

medium to heavy mountainous area, longer and steeper slopes of 4% on average

a heavy mountainous area, long and steep slopes of 8% on average
